660th Picnic

Today we attended the 660th Squadron picnic in honor of Memorial Day. It was a very warm, sunny day and multiple cases of sunburn were the result. The squadron booster club organized the event and there was a dunk tank, blow up castles, jousting, food, fun, and games. The highlight of the event was the "pie in the face" event. Individuals from the 660th were nominated through a donation system (a quarter a vote) throughout the weeks leading up to the picnic, and the "winners" each were auctioned off to receive a pie in the face. The pie went to the highest bidder, the prize being that they got to throw the pie. Our friend, Alex, was lucky enough to be nominated by their technical sergeant. To say it got a little messy would be an understatement. It was all in good fun though, the Chief even participated by getting a pie in the face. Big money was spent to pie the Chief. Here are some pictures of the event.
Anxiously awaiting the pie in the face.

This was rather gentle in comparison to some of the others.

But the results were the same.
